Dedicated to the memory of Ian Baker

This site is a tribute to Ian Baker, who was born 1st March 1961 into a musical family, the 4th Baker brother. He is a much loved Husband, Dad, Grandad, Brother and friend and will always be remembered. Whether that's for his musical talent, countless live performances both singing and playing keys/piano, arranging harmonies, recording vocals, or just his showmanship, knowledge and inspiration and guidance he so warmly offered to many. Or his music back catalogue and unique ability to entertain any crowd old or young, and keep dancefloors full all night long either in the clubs back in Essex or at private functions with his mobile discos. Ian has lived an amazing life, filled with world tours, tv and radio appearances, hit records, top of the bill performances, recognised by the original Beach Boys and invited to perform with them on countless occasions.

Music aside, Ian's forever love has and always will be his darling wife and family. Together since the age of 15 and 19, Ian and Tracey married in 1987 bringing them to a 34 year wedding anniversary and 42 years together at the time of his passing; leaving a void that will never be filled, but for Tracey, the welcome closeness of a doting family with Daughters Carrie and Nicky, son-in-law Matt and Granddaughters Maisie and Mila and extended family and friends will assist in making the unbearable, a little more bearable. Tracey and family take comfort in the love and support shown at this difficult time, and ask that those who wish to honour Ian's final wishes, kindly support the amazing St Elizabeth's Hospice in Beccles Hospital - with a long term aim to hope to raise enough funds to get "bigger" tv screens in each of the palliative care private room.

Due to the impeccable care Ian received during his final weeks of life, we ask that any donations in Ian’s memory be made here to go St Elizabeths Hospice at Beccles Hospital. Cash Donation envelopes will be available at Ian's Celebration of Life and then at the Imagine Spa and Fitness Centre at the Old Hall, Caister-on-sea.

Our time with you here in this lifetime has come to an end and we now have to say farewell. You lived an amazing life, and leave a lasting legacy, impacting so many lives in such memorable ways. We will honour and pay tribute to you for all that you were, all that you gave, and all that you leave within the hearts of us all.

To Ian: "Your life we honour, your passing we accept and so we commit our fondest memories to be held in our hearts forever, we commit your soul to eternal rest, until we meet again. We let you go with our eternal love and care, safe in the knowledge that you are now at peace."
